The Duzaiping intertidal zone is located on the northwestern side of Liuchiu Island, closely adjacent to the southern side of the camping area, with a distance of approximately 300 meters between the two locations. The intertidal platform terrain is flat, with a total length of about 1,600 meters. Visitors wishing to go to Duzaiping can head down along the fork road from the Island-wide Highway toward the direction of the Ocean View Leisure Resort for about 50 meters to arrive. On the way from the resort extending outward to the path, birds such as the spotted dove, light-vented bulbul, brown shrike, and Eurasian tree sparrow can vaguely be seen greeting you. This area possesses natural landscapes such as a wide marine abrasion reef platform and beaches, nurturing extremely rich benthic organisms, which include coral communities in the shallow flats, and countless fishes, shellfish, sea urchins, sea hares, as well as brittlestars, various hermit crabs, Mathae's sea urchins (Echinometra mathaei), and turtle grass (Thalassia hemprichii) among the shellfish and tide pools.< /p>
