The Shanfu intertidal zone possesses many characteristic marine abrasion landforms, such as sea stacks, marine abrasion notches, and marine abrasion potholes. Looking from the Shanfu Fishing Port toward the Shanfu intertidal zone, remnant sea stacks can be seen; their shapes resemble mushrooms and are formed by being continuously struck and eroded by seawater over a long period at the lower recessed areas. As for marine abrasion potholes, they appear on the marine abrasion platform, exhibiting circular and irregular shapes with slightly recessed centers, which are landform landscapes formed by the long-term flowing, rotating, and striking of seawater. Rich intertidal organisms can also frequently be seen in the tide pools beneath the sea stacks.
